My Story
I grew up always making art as I watched my mother create crafts in our basement. I would pick out scrap wood and paint it to resemble various animals. Creativity was always a vital part of my life, and ultimately paved the path to becoming an Art Teacher.
From 2013 to 2016 I served with the Peace Corps in Ghana, West Africa, where I lived and worked in Gbeogo School for the Deaf. During my time there, I learned American Sign Language, taught vocational skills to my students, and wrote Ghana’s first Ghanian Sign Language Dictionary. In 2015 I was awarded the National Best Teacher Award for my work.
For the past six years, I have called the Denver metro area my home. I currently work in the Littleton Public School District where I get to help spread my love of painting and art to my high school students.
When I’m not in the classroom or shop, I am usually outdoors with my dog Mazie, chasing adventures and finding inspiration for future work.
I hope to work with you soon!
